Valley Royals High Jumper Django Lovett Headed Down Under for Commonwealth Games

Standout High Jumper Django Lovett, who trains with the Valley Royals Track & Field Club, will represent Canada at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia this April. The University of  New Mexico alum qualified for the prestigious event with a leap of 2.27 m at the Mt. Sac Relays in California. Lovett, who trains with storied coach Ziggy Szelagowicz in Abbotsford, remains humble in success and is quick to share the praise. He stated that “As hard as I’ve been working, Ziggy and the Valley Royals Track and Field Club have been a tremendous boost in contributing to my success, since my high school days.” The games begin with the opening ceremonies on April 4th and conclude on the 15th.
