Shout out to all the Royals athletes who attended the “Just This Once” meet in White Rock on Saturday. Several JDs performed very well both on the track and on the field.
Special congrats to Evan Booth for his personal best in the 200m, with a time of 25.23. Will Van Schagen dropped a second off his personal best in the 400m hurdles, running a time of 56.90, over a full second faster that the Team BC qualification standard for the Legion Nationals later this summer. And a huge, huge congrats to Judy Summers for smashing the BC record in the women’s 55-59 300m hurdles. Judy’s time was 60.64, several seconds faster that the old record.
Well done, Judy and well done Royals.
